Bonaventure, AKA "Bo," was born with alternate coloring (shiny) for a Nidoran, but because he's blue other Pokemon often mistake him for a female Nidoran instead of the manly male that he is. It also doesn't help that he's smaller than the average male Nidoran and a little more, ah, delicate in appearance. Bo must constantly deal with people mistaking him for a girl so he deals with it in the most eloquent way possible: by totally flipping out. If anyone ever refers to him as "miss" or anything like that, he will probably attempt murder. He is very impatient and prefers to work quickly to get stuff done, but he likes to get the job done efficiently and accurately as well. He is also a fierce battler and not to be messed with either. He can be a bit of grump sometimes and doesn't have much of a sense of humor; he's slow getting jokes. Bo also has an enormous appetite for such a small Nidoran and enjoys food immensely. He's not picky about what he eats and is open to any kind of food there is. Bo also claims to have horrible luck and will blame all of his misfortunes on it. He will never admit to being wrong about anything and makes excuses for all of his mistakes.

Bo grew up in a large family with nine other siblings. Six older brothers and three older sisters, he is the youngest of all of them and was constantly competing for attention. In the end, he left home after a fight that he is still bitter about. The only family member he is still on good terms with is his brother Barnaby, or "Barny."

Clyde: Clyde is a Roselia who was born in Creeping Forest. It should come as no surprise that he had to grow up tough, competing with all those ice types out there. He was an orphaned Budew and had to fend for himself. Yet despite his hardened exterior, Clyde is a pretty cool guy. He was once a solo man, preferring to keep to the sidelines and avoid an unnecessary social contact. But ever since he saw Bonaventure, something changed. It had nothing to do with the Nidoran's appearance but rather his heart or aura or something. He was inspired and he felt the need to help this kid out. The poor guy was obviously an underdog, just like he was as a young Budew. Clyde personally decided to take Bo under his wing and teach him how to be as manly as possible. He has become a mentor of sorts. However, he does not take any lip or crap from anyone, not even Bo. Clyde is a realistic and down-to-earth kind of guy, right down to the gritty truth. He sees right through any lies and is not afraid to tell someone off for being an idiot. He respects everyone equally and does not view positions of authority as "higher" ranking. Hierarchies are a social disease to him.
